A Day at the Doctor

Today Anna Li and I went to visit the International Adoption Clinic. I took off work and Anna Li skipped school because this is an all day process. She was tested once again to see how far she has come since she first arrived in America. Her scores were right where the specialist expected them to be. Of course she will not be on the level of all 13 year old but she is doing good and making progress. It will take many years for her to get where she needs to be but with time and patients (lots of patients) she will get there. We had a wonderful therapy session with the attachment therapist and made great progress with the attaching and bonding process. We have agreed to go back and visit once a month to help keep us on the right path and learn new ways to help make our mother-daughter bond stronger. The physical part of the exam was also good. Anna Li is a very healthy little girl. Next month we will go to the Eye Foundation for her eye check-up and to the orthodontist for a consultation for braces. We completed our visit around 3:00 and we were starving and ready for lunch. I was going to take Anna Li to her parents favorites restaurant when I got a call from my mom..... "Bethany fell and hit her head at school! It had been over an hour and it was still bleeding.... oh, and by the way she was feeling dizzy!" Uhhhh, hello!!! Take her to the emergency room, I will meet you there!! We spent 3 hours at our wonderful local emergency room (NOT)! The fully staffed one doctor was there to take care of every ones emergency medical needs#%&*#!!!!! They finally arrived and took the 2 seconds to look at her and report she was ok (thank God).

Help me figure this out... if the doctor spend 2 minutes with each patient... how come it take 3 hours to be seen. What do they do???? Go play a round of golf and each lunch between patients?

It was a wonderful way to spend my last day of vacation and now I have about 10 loads of laundry to do before bed:)

Sea World

I know this should come last but it is a pain when you have to post a lot of pictures:) Anyway, this is Colin after Sea World. I feel like he looks right now!! EXHAUSTED!!!!
The kids at the shark exhibit. Anna Li was fascinated by the aquarium that you walk through. She seen and learned so much today! Mrs. Raney would be proud:)

Touching the Sting Rays!!!

Look at their faces.... they were waiting in line for a ride but their faces look like they are not so sure they want to ride. I know Anna Li didn't but she was just doing it because Bethany was:) We laughed so hard at the look on her face as she rode some of these rides....shear terror!!! but she insisted on riding if Bethany rode.

Every ones favorite part was the Shamu show! It was fabulous!!!! The kids were disappointed that Shamu the whale did not splash us but I was a little relieved!!

Today was the last day of our trip! I will be sporting a red neck (sunburn) back to Alabama but somehow that sounds appropriate:) Just Kidding!!!!

A Morning at the Pool

Anna Li wasn't too happy about the floaties but... she really scares us in the water. She is convinced she knows how to swim but she doesn't! She jumps right into the deep end then grabs onto the closest person she can find... the pulls them down with her. Swimming lessons will definitely be in her near future:) She had so much fun after she got over the floaties:)

This is the pool at our resort!! Nice:)

Magic Kingdom

We had a fun day at Magic Kingdom! I can't imagine going to all the parks.... one was enough for us all!! Anna Li loved the tea cups and meeting the characters. Colin loved Buzz Lightyear!!!! Bethany loved getting away from the other two to go ride roller coasters with her dad. Colin and Anna Li rode their first mini-roller coaster at Mickey's Toonstown Fair. They were a little scared but had a smile on their faces the whole time!
Meeting Buzz Lightyear was the highlight of Colin's trip... and riding the Buzz Lightyear Spin.

1 hour wait for a picture with Mickey and Minnie:)

Love at first Sight:) Princess Aurora taught Colin how to waltz with Anna Li.

Anna Li's highlight of the trip... meeting Winnie the Pooh:) She is crazy about Pooh!

They all enjoyed the tea cups!!!

I'm never leaving!!

No we can't afford this! My parents have a time share and we get a week every year:) This is the nicest place we have stayed by far. This is our little living room (with a big flat screen TV just out of the picture)
Nice kitchen.. fully furnished! We had pizza to night... tomorrow we are roughing it with sandwiches:)

This is our bed room (including big flat screen TV #2). OMG! You should see the bathroom.... big walk in shower and a huge jacuzzi tub... marble everything and two sinks with spacious counter tops! Oh... and did I mention... it is far away from the kids bedroom:)

Ok, final two.... this is the kids room! Big flat screen TV #3!!!! I am telling you.... we are not leaving! Who needs Disney!??! Tomorrow I will post pictures of the pool..... two huge water slides.... the place looks like a water park! Ok Ok enough bragging:) but seriously.... this is a much needed break:)

Panama City Beach

First trip to the beach

We spent the morning playing at the beach. The kids had a wonderful time. It was Anna Li and Colin's first time at the beach. I took lots of pictures but left the attachment that uploads my pictures at home. I will either buy another one or post them this weekend. We are leaving Panama City today and heading to Orlando. The beach was fun but I could have done without the spring breakers. I woke up 6 times to run the hormone raging teenagers away from our door. After midnight I marched down the hall yelling to the top of my lungs! Apparently they couldn't hear me until I let out a wooooohooooooo!!! (which I had already heard from them 100 times ). After all, ,they may be hormone raging teenagers but I am a hormone raging pregnant women and I WIN:)

SNOW!!

I think the last time we got a really good snow was when Bethany was TWO! I never would of thought I'd seen a forecast that said Thur. 60 Fri. 70.....Sun SNOW! We got out a little bit and some fun! We tried to build a snowman but the snow was too fluffy and wouldn't stick together good. We did manager to make a few snowballs to have a snowball fight:)

After the snow we came in and made snow cream and hot chocolate:) Yummy!!!
