Ok, we couldn't wait for October to get here:) The kids have picked out their costumes for this year. Anna Li will be a skeleton, Bethany will be Supergirl, and Colin will be Batman. We had our decorating party a couple of weeks ago (I told you we couldn't wait!). We decorated the inside of the house and had a spooky dinner. We will wait and decorate the outside a little closer to Halloween:) We always end the night with "It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!"
Colin's buddy Luke showed up for dinner:)
Mummies for dinner and a glass of blood (ok, it's Kool-Aide)!!!!

lol I LOVE IT!!!
Go to the database and sign up for the Waiting Families Halloween Party! lol
Love Ya, Lisa
Kristy,
You are all as bad as us. Katrina has been begging me to put up Halloween decorations and if it weren't for the trip to China we probably would have. We usually wait till October 1 to put our outside lights out (we have an extensive collection for inside and out -- we love Holidays!) so our neighbors don't think we are crazy.
The girls are going to be angels this year. It was Katrina's idea and of course I think it's perfect. We bought the costumes 4 weeks ago -- I told you we are crazy about Halloween too.
Anna Li looks so happy (I loved your last post with the smiling picture in her new glasses). I'm so glad her transition is getting easier. It is amazing what our children can survive and so sad at the same time that they have to survive so much. Sunshine, endless love, and mooncakes from now on, right?
That is too funny... we do the same thing here. We love Halloween! This year we will have to make it not so scary. Brooklynn does not like the skeletons and stuff like that.

I love all the pictures. I hope yall can make it to the Halloween Party for the Waiting Families. It will be fun seeing all of our children all dressed up!

I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE reading your blog. I love hearing how your beautiful daughter is adjusting to family and the US. Thanks so much for doing this.

Good lord, chasing after 3 energetic kids and time to decorate, too! I think you just became my idol.
The Hallo'n decs are great. Love the "mummies". I'm going to shamelessly copy that!
Kind regards,
Carol and Taylor
Looks like so much fun!

So great to hear how well Anna Li is doing. Nice that you were able to "talk" with her with a translator. She looks so cute with her glasses.
Your house looks great all decorated!

I want to come to your house for Halloween!!! It looks like you all are having a great fall. We can't wait to see more holiday pictures. Now, to find some costumes for our gang.....

Dear Mr and Mrs Gray,
I am a student living in Hong Kong who visited the Xining Children's Home last winter. I met Anna Li there (although we didn't call her Anna at that time), and Christian Action sent us the link to your blog just recently.
As someone who knows the place she lived before being adopted into your family, I just wanted to say a big thank you for your generosity and love.
Anna seems to be having an amazing time in the US with your family, and it means a lot to me (and my friends who also came on this trip with me last winter) that she has found such a supportive and caring family.
Once again, thank you ever so much.
Mina
P.S. Would it be possible for us to write letters to Anna? My friends an I are visiting the Xining Children's Home again next month, so we would love to send Anna messages from the children there :)
Ooops, my last comment made it sound like the Xining Children's Home is not a very nice place - which is totally not the case. It's just that I know that the children there really want to have a family, and I'm really glad that Anna Li now has such an amazing one :)
Hello. My name is Ann Lin and I'm a high school student in Hong Kong. I know Anna Li from our trip to the Xining Children's Home last year in October and have been keeping in touch with wincy from Christian Action in the past year. A few days ago wincy told us the news about anna's adoption and we were so excited. She directed us to this link and I was absorbed upon reading all the blogs and the lovely photos of anna and your family on your blogger, awed and touched by your kind heart and God's grace.
I just feel compelled to let you know my appreciation of the love and dedication you have shown.
I praise God and will continue to pray for your daughter and your family.
Yours sincerely,
Ann
